- Premier League Team Of The Season So Far This Season
It is time to evaluate the season as we have reached the halfway point of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
Liverpool look ready to run away with the Premier League trophy with their consistent form and performances.
Nottingham Forest are the surprise package of this season so far, as they find themselves third on the table midway through the season.
Manchester City’s fall has surprised everyone all around the world. Neighbors Manchester United are also struggling in a transitional season. Chelsea Football Club look like an improved side compared to last season, and Arsenal are in the mix for the title once again this season.
Like every other season, some players have risen to the top above others, and we will reveal our best XI of the Premier League season so far.
Meet our Premier League team of the season so far.
Jordan Pickford
Jordan Pickford has been impeccable for Everton this season. The English goalkeeper is a major reason Everton are not deep in relegation waters at this point in the 202425 season. He has helped Sean Dyche’s side to 7 clean sheets this season, and that is the second most in the Premier League.
Virgil Van Dijk
Virgil Van Dijk has been a major rock at the back for Liverpool this season. Liverpool have only conceded 19 goals this season (second lowest in the league), and that is because of the fine form of Virgil Van Dijk.
Gabriel Malghaes
An aggressive presence at the back for title-chasing Arsenal this season. Gabriel has been reliable and arguably been better than his partner William Saliba this campaign. While starring in what has been the Premier League’s best defense this season, The Brazilian has also chipped in with important goals for Arsenal.
Alexander Arnold
Get you a right back that is as creative as a classic number 10! That is exactly what Trent Alexander Arnold is. The Liverpool star is having a fantastic season in what could be his final year with the club. Arnold, alongside Mohamed Salah, have made Liverpool’s right-hand side of attack the deadliest in the league this season.
Marc Cucurella
The Spanish left back continued the brilliant form he displayed at the Euros last summer for Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea this season. The Spaniard has been inverting into midfield, holding up the width down the left wing and also defending against top opponents all season for Chelsea, and has barely put a foot wrong.
Moises Caicedo
Arguably the best defensive midfielder in the Premier League so far this 2024/25 campaign. Caicedo is the soul of a Chelsea side that was tipped to challenge Liverpool for the title until recently.
Ryan Gravenberch
Probably the revelation of the season so far. Liverpool sought a defensive midfielder before the season, but got rejected by Martin Zubimendi. However, Ryan Gravenberch stepped up and has been a revelation in that role this season. Arne Slot effectively utilized the Dutchman’s tireless work ethic in midfield, and Liverpool are reaping the rewards.
Cole Palmer
One season wonder? Who? Chelsea star Cole Palmer started the 2024/25 season exactly how he ended the last campaign. Scoring, assisting and creating chances for his teammates. Chelsea are significantly weaker and not the same without Cole Palmer.
Bukayo Saka
Until his injury, Bukayo Saka was once again Arsenal’s go—to man. The English forward was Arsenal’s focal point in attack in the early part of this campaign, and he delivered efficiently. With 10 assists and 5 goals, Arsenal haven’t been the same without Bukayo Saka.
Mohamed Salah
The best player in the Premier League so far this campaign, and maybe even in the world currently. Mohamed Salah started the 2024/25 campaign on fire! Scoring and assisting aplenty to fire Liverpool to a significant lead at the top of the table midway through the 2024/25 season.
Chris Wood
A very efficient striker playing in an efficient and in-form team. Nottingham Forest fans will still be pinching themselves whenever they look at the current Premier League table, and that is partly because of Chris Wood’s goals. The New Zealand forward has scored almost 40% of Forest’s goals in the Premier League this season.
