The Premier League returns after its first-ever winter break, and there are some tasty fixtures to help you win big. The biggest game of the week sees Liverpool aiming to continue their impressive form when they welcome Chelsea to Anfield.
Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal
Arsenal seem to be turning a corner and were emphatic last time out with a 5-0 win over Crystal Palace. We expect Forest to struggle as all six of their Africa Cup of Nations representatives will be involved in the knockout stages.
A depleted Forest team could be mince meat for an Arsenal side getting their attacking groove back.
Tip – Arsenal to win and over 1.5 goals
Manchester City vs Burnley
Pep Guardiola has never lost against Burnley in his time at City (W16, D1). The last 8 meetings between these two sides have seen the Champions keep a clean sheet, and the history books suggest this game will end the same way.
Tip – Man City to win and over 2.5 goals
Wolves vs Manchester United
The Red Devils have scored 24 goals in 21 league games, the joint third-lowest in the division. Despite having the superior H2H record against Wolves (4 wins in the last 5), Ten Hag’s men are coming up against a team with an impressive home record, and it is hard to see them scoring enough to snatch a vital win.
Tip – Wolves win or draw and under 3.5 goals
Liverpool vs Chelsea
The Reds are yet to taste defeat at home since a 2-1 defeat to Leeds in October 2022 and have won 15 of their last 17 games in front of home support.
Even without Mohamed Salah, who has been absent since the turn of the year, first due to AFCON obligations with Egypt, and now because of injury, Klopp’s men have won 5 of their 6 games, scoring 18 goals and conceding 5.
Both teams have enough in the attacking armory to create chances at will, but history suggests this will be a close premier league game.
Tip – Liverpool to win and over 1.5 goals
