Chelsea have reportedly approached Ipswich Town over Kieran McKenna as they aim to beat fellow rivals Manchester United & Brighton in the race.
The Blues decided to mutually part ways with Mauricio Pochettino at the end of the campaign, despite the Argentine manager guiding them to a European spot after a horrific start to the season.
The Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital ownership is moving swiftly to find his replacement and has got in touch with Ipswich to sort out a deal for McKenna who is under contract with the Tractor Boys until 2028.

Chelsea have identified highly coveted manager McKenna as their top choice, following his impressive achievement of securing Ipswich’s promotion to the Premier League.
McKenna, 38, has also drawn interest from Manchester United and Brighton due to his success.
However, the Blues are confident that McKenna, who has previous experience working on United’s backroom staff, will choose them over their rivals if he decides to leave Ipswich.
