West Ham United have made a stunning £57m offer for Aston Villa’s Colombian striker Jhon Duran, according to multiple reports.
The 19-year-old Duran has been on West Ham’s radar since the summer transfer window, but the club ultimately opted for Niclas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund after learning of Villa’s £40m asking price.
Despite competing with Ollie Watkins for playing time, Duran has impressed with seven Premier League goals this season, earning him a new six-year contract with Villa in October. West Ham’s blockbuster offer may test Villa’s resolve to keep their prized asset.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have agreed to loan Brazilian winger Antony to Real Betis for the remainder of the season, reports Fabrizio Romano. Antony’s tenure at United has been underwhelming, with the 23-year-old struggling to justify his £80m price tag since arriving in 2022.
After falling out of favor under Erik ten Hag, Antony has made just two starts under new manager Ruben Amorim. With Olympiacos initially expressing interest, Real Betis emerged as the most persistent suitor, and a verbal agreement has been reached between the clubs and Antony.
The loan deal, subject to a completed medical and final document checks, includes no obligation-to-buy clause, meaning Antony will return to United by the end of June.
