Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders. The Dutchman will sign for Manchester City in the coming days ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States of America.

The Premier League side are rebuilding their squad and have placed much emphasis on the midfield, as Pep Guardiola’s side struggled to control games last season, leading to a failed Premier League title defence.
City also lost an FA Cup final to Crystal Palace, meaning Pep Guardiola failed on all four fronts in the 2024/25 campaign.

The rebuild started in January when City signed Vitor Reis, Kushanov, Nico Gonzalez, and Omar Marmoush to help ease their burden, and they do not appear to be stopping. Reijnders will join Manchester City soon, and Lyon star Rayan Cherki might follow suit.
Pep Guardiola’s side hold advanced talks with Lyon for the signature of Rayan Cherki—a highly rated French attacking midfielder.
City will also push to complete Cherki’s signing before the start of their FIFA Club World Cup campaign, as Pep Guardiola wants to win the competition and start the 2025/26 campaign on a positive note.
