Arsenal are Premier League Champions! The Gunners clinched their first title in 22 years after Manchester City failed to beat Bournemouth on Tuesday night. Arsenal players and fans took to the streets to celebrate their 14th league title and their first in over two decades.

Following Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Burnley on Monday, Manchester City needed to beat Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium for the title race to extend until the final weekend. However, Junior Kroupi put Bournemouth ahead against Manchester City in the 38th minute. City were expected to come out of the blocks firing on all cylinders in the second half, but Pep Guardiola’s men looked sluggish as Bournemouth outran and outplayed them.

The Cherries are still fighting for a possible place in the Champions League this season, and they could have set up a brilliant final-day tussle with Liverpool, but they kept missing key chances in the second half.

Title-chasing Manchester City could not break down Bournemouth until after the 90th minute when Erling Haaland fired home to make the score 1-1. City could not find the winner in the end, and that sparked celebrations in North London as Arsenal captured their first Premier League title in more than 20 years.

The Gunners will now shift their focus to the UEFA Champions League final against PSG as they aim to make this season the best ever in the history of the club.
