Manchester United have been underwhelming this season and many fans have called for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be sacked.

After the 4-2 loss to Leicester at the weekend, Manchester United will face Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday. Despite all the talks, it looks like Solskjaer will still be in charge of Manchester United`s match against Atalanta. In fact, it looks like the Norwegian will be in charge of many more Manchester United games this season.

Will Sticking With Solskjaer Change Anything For Manchester United?

Manchester United have had patches like this previously under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and to be fair, they often recover well.

United fans know that the team can get back in form and start winning again under Solskjaer. The stop-start pattern under the Norwegian worries the fans. The team`s unpredictability makes club fans worry if they will ever be consistent enough to win big trophies under Solskjaer.

Manchester United will likely get back to winning ways under Solskjaer and maintain it for a while, but at some point, the team will fumble again. That is a cycle that the club needs to get out of.

Sticking with Ole could work for a while, but how long till the good form stops again?

The club needs to re-evaluate its project and find a better manager that can manage to get consistent results with the team and win big trophies.

Solskjaer has done a fine job at Manchester United since he was appointed in 2019. The the club now needs a coach that can build on Ole’s work just like what Chelsea did with Lampard.
