Manchester United interim manager has signed a two-year deal with Austrian FA to become the new coach of the team. Manchester United confirmed that Ralf Rangnick will still continue at the club in his consultancy role once Erik Ten Hag takes over.

“Rangnick has signed a two-year contract with Austria. He will combine the job with his consultancy role at Old Trafford as planned, after announcing Erik ten Hag as United’s new manager last week”

Rangnick also confirmed that he will remain committed to making Manchester United a force to reckon with in European football again.

Austria will charge the former Leipzig boss with the responsibility of qualifying for Euro 2024. The Austrians will not be at the World Cup this year, however, there is a clause to increase the contract by two more years into the (World Cup 2026) if they qualify for the Euro 2024.
