Chelsea and Inter Milan have agreed a loan deal for Romelu Lukaku to head back to Italy this summer. The former Manchester United striker had a miserable first full season back with Chelsea and will fulfil his desire to return back to Inter Milan. Chelsea and Inter agreed on a one year loan valued at £10M. However, the loan deal is without an obligation or option to buy permanently.
Chelsea signed Romelu Lukaku just over 10 months ago for a fee just short £100M to help solve their striking problem. However, Lukaku’s form and off-pitch behavior did not help the squad and Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea want to sign Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling to improve their attack for next season. Chelsea already have a bid rejected by Manchester City, but The Blues plan to return with an improved bid for the former Liverpool forward.
According to recent reports, Tuchel will now be actively involved in player acquisition for the club. This will help in identifying the perfect players for his 3-5-2 / 3-4-3 system.
With Lukaku’s deal now done, Inter Milan also plan to focus their attention on signing Paolo Dybala. Dybala will likely join the former Italian Champions for free after deciding to leave Juventus. Inter Milan dream of a striking trio of Paolo Dybala, Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.
