Arsenal started the game well, with the gunners attackers having a go at the Villa go. However, Bukayo Saka’s effort squeezed past Villa’s defense and Argentine goalie Martinez.
Villa huffed and puffed all game, however, Steven Gerrard’s men couldn’t break Arsenal down. Coutinho didn’t have a great game that affected how Villa attacked.
Arteta’s men seem to have all their attention and focus on qualifying for Europe next season. Also, the former Arsenal captain has found a way to get everyone at the club believing again. Saka’s goal was Arsenal’s 2000th in the Premier League and that was enough to seal a very important win.
The Gunners still have a game in hand but are already four points clear of closest top 4 rival Manchester United.
