Arsenal have held talks with Bukayo Saka over the possibility of extending his contract with the club.
Bukayo Saka has attracted interest from Liverpool. The English star has had a good year with Arsenal, playing a starring role so far as Arteta’s men aim to qualify for the Champions League. Jurgen Klopp is an admirer of the young English talent, but the North London club value their most influential attacker. Saka has scored 9 goals and provided 5 assists this season.
Saka is in line for a huge Salary boost as he currently earns £30,000 per week on his current contract. He still has 2 years left on the current deal he signed at the beginning of last season. However, Arsenal are keen to tie him down at the Emirates as Arteta aims to build his team around the English forward.

Saka Could get up to a 100% increase in his salary and could also be offered a 3-year extension.
Arsenal have begun talks with Saka’s representatives. However, Saka will hold off till the end of the season. He wants to play in the Champions League, and as Arsenal are in a good position to do that, it looks straightforward. However, if the Gunners fail to qualify for the UCL they could be forced to listen to offers for a player who will have just one year left on his contract after that. The last thing Arsenal will want is to lose Saka for free – securing that UCL spot is important.
Arsenal are three points clear of Tottenham who are in fifth. The Gunners have a game in hand against European Champions Chelsea. It is tough to predict who will make the top four between Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester United, but this is the closest Arsenal have come in years and it will be tough for them if they fail again this season.
