- Arsenal Are considering A Move For Bournemouth Striker Dominic Solanke If They Fail To Get Their Primary Target
Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke after an impressive 2023/24 season with The Cherries. Mikel Arteta is reportedly hunting for a proven out-and-out striker that will lift his Gunners side from being title contenders to Premier League Champions.
Dominic Solanke had his best year yet in front of goal in the Premier League. The former Chelsea striker scored 19 league goals while providing 4 assists for his teammates.
The Bournemouth striker has a £65million release clause in his contract. Clubs like Newcastle, and Aston Villa are also keeping tabs on the English striker.
Arsenal want a striker like Solanke, who can link up well with play, and also offer a ruthless finishing edge – A trait they could not bank on in Kai Havertz or Gabriel Jesus last season.
The North Londoners’s first choice is RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. The 21-year-old is also being followed by Chelsea, and Manchester United.
Sesko scored 18 goals in all competitions for RB Leipzig last term. The Slovenian is valued at around £45million.
Sesko has been approached by Chelsea, Arsenal and also Manchester United. He also has a contract renewal offer from RB Leipzig, and that is a major reason why Arsenal have a plan B in Dominic Solanke.
