- Xavi Open to more options following Gavi’s ACL injury.
Barcelona are reportedly looking at Tottenham star Giovanni Lo Celso as a possible replacement for the injured Gavi. The 19-year-old has been ruled out of the season after sustaining an ACL injury on Sunday while playing for Spain.
The Catalans are open to a couple of options in midfield, which includes the possibility of getting the Argentine midfielder on a loan deal.
Lo Celso has only played 3 times in the league for Spurs this season, but he might begin to get more minutes following Spurs’s recent squad crisis.

Lo Celso played in La Liga last season, and he was impressive with Villarreal. The possibility of joining up with the Spanish champions would certainly tempt him.
Barça still have options in midfield with the likes of Gundogan, Oriol Romeu, De Jong and with Pedri also nearing a return.
Spanish outlets are also reporting that Barça could try to get one of Fabian Ruiz or Carlos Soler from PSG for the remainder of the season.
It is unclear if the Parisians will let either one of their Spanish midfielders leave, especially after Warren Zaire-Emery sustained an ankle injury that has ruled him out till the next year.
Xavi could also turn to the Academy or recall midfielder Pablo Torre from Girona in January. Recalling Torre could be a real option, as Barça’s new Sporting Director Deco has played down the possibility of signing a new midfielder in January.
