Since Bayern Munich announced that manager Thomas Tuchel will leave at the end of this season, they have been linked to some top managers. The Germans are now being linked with a possible move for Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi.
The Brighton manager has impressed big clubs around Europe with his achievement at Brighton, especially last season. Bayern Munich will have to pay Roberto De Zeri’s release clause if they’re to get him this summer.
Roberto De Zerbi remains a second thought for Bayern, as their main target remains Xabi Alonso.
There have been reports that Alonso might decide to stay at Leverkusen for another season. Those reports also suggest that the former Liverpool midfielder wants to wait for the Real Madrid job. If Alonso decides not to leave Leverkusen, Bayern will seriously consider De Zerbi.
Liverpool are heavily linked with Xabi Alonso, but even if Alonso leaves Leverkusen, it’s highly likely he remains in Germany.
Alonso has remained tight-lipped about his future, as he wants to help see out what has been a fantastic season with Bayer Leverkusen.
When asked about his future, Alonso simply replied, “”I have nothing new to say.”
Barcelona are also targeting Roberto De Zerbi, but Hansi Flick remains the top target for the Catalans. It might be something of a domino effect for managerial roles this summer.
Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Barcelona are already looking for replacements for their “soon to depart” managers. Chelsea, and Manchester United might also join that list.
