• Bayern Munich have now won the Bundesliga 10 straight times. No other top 5 European club has ever done that.

What these statistics show is that Bayern Munich are the biggest club in Germany – the gap between themselves and the closest rival, Borussia Dortmund, is so much that it does not even matter anymore. However, in a league season, is there any team in the Bundesliga that can challenge the Bavarians soon?

Dortmund: Since Jurgen Klopp left the Signal Iduna Park, only Thomas Tuchel came close. The current Liverpool boss won the Bundesliga twice with Dortmund in the early 2010s, and since then… well, you know the story.

Can they catch Bayern next year? it will be very hard. Even with the aging Robert Lewandowski, the Bavarians will still be the favorites to pick up the price again next season. Dortmund are a selling club. They have produced some amazing talents over the years, but they will need to invest and keep a few of their stars to stand a chance.

RB Leipzig: They’re also a selling club. They have not been consistent enough to win the Bundesliga… and frankly, for now, they do not look like they can challenge Bayern. 

It does not seem like anyone can displace Bayern Munich from the top at the moment, but that is just an opinion. It will still be interesting to see if anyone comes close in the coming years.
