- Chelsea Agree Deal To Sign Wolves Star Man Pedro Neto
Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto this summer. Reports emerged early this afternoon that Chelsea and Wolves reached an agreement for the Portuguese to move to West London for a fee around £51 million.
After Chelsea’s US tour, it was obvious that the blues lacked top quality options on the wing. With Sterling well past his prime and Mykhailo Mudryk’s inconsistencies, they identified Pedro Neto as the perfect player to add depth and quality to their squad.
Arsenal, and Spurs were all interested in signing the Portuguese winger, but Chelsea moved silently to avoid a bidding war.
Chelsea expects Neto to have his medical on Saturday and sign his contract before their friendly against Inter Milan on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are still in the market for quality attackers. The Blues want to improve squad’s quality in attack, with a few names still expected to depart this summer.
