Chelsea Close In on Double Dutch Swoop: Xavi Simons and Jorrel Hato Set for Stamford Bridge
The Blues are closing in on the signings of Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig and his Dutch teammate Jorrel Hato from Ajax, as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season following their victorious Club World Cup adventure in the United States.
The Blues are nearing an agreement for Jorrel Hato, with only a small gap remaining between their offer and Ajax’s valuation of the 19-year-old defender.

Hato is also eager to make the move to London. The talented youngster has missed Ajax’s last two pre-season matches, signalling to the club’s hierarchy his clear desire to join Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are also advancing in talks to bring in Xavi Simons.
With João Félix already gone and Christopher Nkunku expected to leave, the Blues are looking for an attacking reinforcement to boost their squad depth as they prepare to compete on four fronts this season.
RB Leipzig are demanding around £65 million for Simons, and Chelsea’s valuation of the Dutch playmaker is reportedly not far off.
