Chelsea forward Cole Palmer has reassured Chelsea fans that he will get back to his best after failing to score in Chelsea’s 4-0 rout of relegation favorites Southampton last night.
The English forward posted a message to Chelsea fans on his Instagram page saying: “Don’t Worry, I will be back”. His message came after missing four big chances in Chelsea’s game against Southampton on Tuesday afternoon.

His failure to find the back of the net against The Saints means that the current PFA young player of the year has now gone 6 matches without finding the back of the net or providing an assist for the West London side.
Cole Palmer’s recent form highlights his team’s struggle and loss of confidence since late December 2024. Chelsea have only won 3 Premier League matches from 11, losing 5 times and drawing 3 times. This has plunged Chelsea into top UCL qualification uncertainty and has derailed their season badly.
Cole Palmer had an inspiring break-out year in 2024, but 2025 has not started in the same vein for the Chelsea star. Palmer has scored just twice this year for the Blues and has provided no assists despite creating plenty.

Many, including Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca still back Cole Palmer to get back to his best despite his recent struggles:
I said since we start, we cannot rely on Cole Palmer for every game. He has to continue to work, be happy, laugh the way he does”. “We are completely happy with him. It is normal to go through a moment where you struggle to score, but it doesn’t matter”.

Chelsea fans will be hoping Palmer keeps his promise as the Blues hope to gather enough points and momentum for a top four finish.
