- The Frenchman’s Spell in the Spanish Capital Comes To An End This Summer
Real Madrid Legend Karim Benzema will leave the club after an illustrious 14-year spell with the club. The Spanish giants released a statement confirming the news.
The French striker is a legend in the Spanish Capital and will have a ceremony next Tuesday to say his goodbyes to the Real Madrid fans.
Benzema joined Real Madrid as part of the Galacticos signings back in 2009. Since then, Benzema has grown from strength to strength, playing alongside some of the best footballers of his generation, and winning important trophies.
Benzema has been at Madrid since the age of 21, but it was in his final years he truly peaked at the club. He is currently the Ballon d’or holder, and also the UEFA best player for 2022, having fired Real Madrid to their 14th Champions League trophy.
He has also won 25 trophies that includes 4 La Liga trophies, and 5 UEFA Champions League trophies. Benzema will likely head to the Middle East, as there have been reports of offers from Saudi Arabian clubs.
