- Manchester United To finalize Deals For Matthijs De Ligt And Noussair Mazraoui Next Week
- Aaron Wan-Bissaka To Join West Ham United
The Red Devils have agreed a deal to sign Matthijs De Ligt from Bayern Munich for a fee around €45 million plus €5million in add-ons. The defender prioritized a move to Manchester United, and the deal will be sealed next week.
Manchester United needed a defensive restructure after struggling with injuries and instability at the back throughout last season.
The Old Trafford side signed Leny Yoro, but lost the young defender to a foot injury in a pre-season game against Arsenal.
A signing like Matthijs de Ligt shows the new investors INEOS are ready to back Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag fully this season.
De Ligt is not the only former Ajax man joining Manchester United next week. Noussair Mazraoui will also sign for The Red Devils after Aaron Wan-Bissaka completes his move to West Ham.
The Moroccan right back has had a mixed spell at Bayern Munich since joining from ajax back in 2022.
Injuries and form has affected him, but Manchester United are certain that he can help bring out the best in players like Antony and Amad Diallo. United will pay €20 million for Noussair Mazraoui which includes €5 million in add-ons.
Despite these two deals, Manchester United believe they can still improve their squad in this transfer window. They are also currently linked with a move for former Atletico Madrid defender Mario Hermoso who is a free agent.
The club is also still keen to improve their midfield options. Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana has been mentioned lately.
