Manchester United beat Brighton on penalties to secure a spot in the final of the FA Cup
Manchester United will face Neighbors Manchester City in the final of the FA Cup in what will be the first Manchester Derby final in the oldest cup competition in the World.
The Red Devils had to do it via penalties as Brighton proved difficult to break down during the game. Goalkeeper, David De Gea, had to make some important saves to keep Manchester United in the game. It was a game of little to no clear-cut chances, but still, the attackers kept the goalkeepers busy with long-range efforts. De Gea made some stunning saves from an Alexis McAllister free-kick, a powerful shot from Enciso and more threat from the Brighton team.
David-de Gea could not save any of the first 6 penalties from Brighton, but Solly March launched his spot-kick over the bar, and Swedish defender Victor Lindelof was on hand to convert the winning penalty for Manchester United.
It will be a mouth-watering tie in June when the two Manchester clubs meet for the first kind of occasion in an FA Cup final.
