Amad pips Alexander Isak to this spot because of the quality of the opponent he faced on Sunday. Manchester City were set to claim another Manchester Derby win on Sunday, before Amad stepped up for Ruben Amorim’s side. The Ivorian won a penalty, before stealing all 3 points with a smart finish right at the death for Manchester United.
James Maddison
Spurs needed a big win to ease the pressure on manager Ange Postecoglou, and that was exactly what Maddison helped Spurs achieve. The former Leicester man orchestrated Spur’s 5-0 win from the middle of the park with his incisive passing and goals.
