Manchester City slipped to seventh in the Premier League table after losing to Aston Villa in the opening fixture of Premier League Matchweek 17.
Arsenal secured a significant victory away at Crystal Palace, with Gabriel Jesus scoring a brace. Chelsea also dropped two points in a draw against Everton, allowing Liverpool to extend their lead at the top of the table to four points, with a game in hand.

Rogers was the source of Pep Guardiola’s problems on Saturday at Villa Park. The City academy graduate was in fine form, creating a goal and scoring what proved to be the winner for Aston Villa. Rogers also created chances, completed 71% of his dribbles, and won 67% of his duels in a top performance.
Gabriel Jesus
Gabriel Jesus is back to scoring for Arsenal, with Crystal Palace being his latest victims. The Brazilian netted a hat-trick against the South Londoners in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday and also followed up with two well-taken goals at Selhurst Park, as Arsenal defeated Crystal Palace 5-1.
Alexander Isak
Isak’s form continues to improve, which is excellent news for Eddie Howe and Newcastle supporters. The Swede was sharp as he helped Newcastle secure a 4-0 win away at Ipswich, scoring three well-taken goals.
Mohamed Salah
Liverpool were in top form against Tottenham, with Mohamed Salah at the center of their attacking moves in a 6-3 rout of Spurs in North London. The Egyptian scored twice and also provided two assists to help Liverpool pull away from Chelsea and Arsenal.
