Manchester City climbed back into the top 4 in Premier League Matchweek 23 thanks to their 3-1 win at home against Chelsea.
The West London side slipped down to 6th, level on point with Bournemouth. Bournemouth astonishingly dispatched Nottingham Forest 5-0 at the Vitality stadium while Arsenal and Liverpool picked up all 3 points against Wolves and Ipswich respectively.
Manchester United left it late to grab a win against Fulham at the Craven Cottage, and Leicester defeated Spurs at the London stadium, in an entertaining weekend of Premier League action.

Kepa Arrizabalaga
The two surprise packages of the season (Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest) faced off the Vitality stadium. The Cherries put in a stunning display. Kepa was fantastic in goal for Iraola’s side as they thrashed Forest 5-0 to also go level on point with Chelsea and just one point off automatic UCL spots.
Alexander Isak
After the shocking 4-1 defeat against Bournemouth, Isak and Newcastle picked themselves up to beat Southampton 3-1. The Swedish striker scored scored twice to hand Newcastle their 12th win of the season.
Erling Haaland
Haaland was also in his element again against Chelsea on Saturday. The Norweigian scored Manchester City’s second goal brilliantly, before setting up Phil Foden to wrap up the 3 points that sent City back into automatic UCL places.
Cody Gakpo
Cody Gakpo handed Ipswich another defeat in the Premier League this season. The Dutch forward scored twice and also assisted Mohamed Salah’s goal — helping Liverpool to another league win as the club keeps their 6 points lead at the top of the table.
Dango Ouattara
The First Burkina Faso International to score a Premier League hat-trick. Dango Ouattarra was physically able to disrupt the ever solid Nottingham Forest backline. Ouattarra took over after Justin Kluivert’s opener. and netted a hat-trick to put the game past Forest before Semenyo wrapped up the win with a 5th.
Dango Ouattara is the best player for Premier League Matchweek 23 in the 2024/25 season.
