Just three matchweeks remaining in the season and with the champions and relegation spots already confirmed, Premier League matchweek 35 delivered plenty of drama as teams fought for a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
Chelsea, Manchester City, Newcastle, Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest are all battling for a top-five finish to secure UCL qualification.
Chelsea boosted their chances by defeating champions Liverpool 3-1 at Stamford Bridge. Arsenal lost at home to Bournemouth, while Aston Villa and Manchester City both earned hard-fought 1–0 victories.
Nottingham Forest failed to beat Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, and Newcastle played out a 1-1 draw away to Brighton.
Let’s rank the top five players from Premier League Matchweek 35:
Alejandro Garnacho

Garnacho was on the losing side in the tie, but he provided real quality up front for Manchester United. The Argentine set up United’s opener in West London against Brentford and also scored later in the game. Although his performance was not enough to get Manchester United a point or three, he deserves a spot on this list.
Youri Tielemans

Tielemans scored the only goal in a vital match for Aston Villa. The former Leicester man netted a header, won 80% of his duels, completed 80% of his long passes, and worked tirelessly against Fulham’s fast and disruptive midfield.
Michael Kayode

Kayode delivered an outstanding performance against Manchester United. The Italian defender completed the most dribbles in the game, achieved a 97% pass accuracy, and won the most duels. He also provided an assist for Yoane Wissa to tap in Brentford’s fourth goal.
Kevin Schade

Schade was in top form against Manchester United. The German winger scored two headers to put the game out of United’s reach. He demonstrated impressive efficiency, scoring a brace with just five touches inside the opposition box.
Cole Palmer

Chelsea fans finally saw the Cole Palmer they had missed for much of 2025. The English forward dominated the game against Liverpool, leading Chelsea to a 3-1 victory over the newly crowned champions. Palmer played a role in Chelsea’s opener, single-handedly created the second goal, and scored the third to seal a crucial win in their race for a UCL spot.
Cole Palmer tops the list as the best player in Premier League Matchweek 35.
