As we enter the second international break of the 2024/25 English Premier League season, Matchweek 7 brought thrilling games, goals, and plenty of action.
Mateo Kovacic led Manchester City to a victory over Fulham with two brilliant goals. Liverpool secured a 1-0 win away at Crystal Palace. Manchester United, despite mounting pressure on Ten Hag, failed to claim a win at Aston Villa. Chelsea dropped points at home against Nottingham Forest, while Arsenal grabbed all three points at the Emirates, defeating Southampton.

Everton would have suffered their fifth defeat of the season if not for Pickford’s heroics on Saturday.
The England international made three crucial saves against Newcastle and denied former Everton winger Anthony Gordon from the spot.
Mikkel Damsgaard
Brentford’s 5-0 win over Wolves was the most entertaining match of the round.
Mikkel Damsgaard orchestrated Brentford’s attack from midfield. Though he didn’t score, the Dane created six chances, (2 Big chances), and provided two assists.
Jarrod Bowen
Bowen powered West Ham to an impressive 4-1 home victory over Ipswich Town. Julen Lopetegui’s side had a clear plan, but Bowen’s execution was clinical.
Despite having the fewest touches among players who played the entire game, Bowen created the most chances, scored, and assisted in West Ham’s dominant win.
Mateo Kovacic
Kovacic scored twice for Manchester City in their 3-2 win over Fulham at the Etihad.
The Croatian international stepped up in Rodri’s absence, finishing from central areas inside the box with composure.
Bukayo Saka
Saka has been in stellar form for Arsenal this season. He controlled Arsenal’s attack during their win against Southampton.
He assisted Arsenal’s first goal, created the second for Gabriel Martinelli, and with two minutes of regular time left, sealed the game with a sharp right-footed finish after capitalizing on a Southampton defender’s mistake.
