The Premier League is just weeks away from completion and we still don’t have a clear idea of who the winners will be, who makes the top four, and who will get relegated.
In some ways, that is the beauty of this league.
Another Wild Premier League weekend
Arsenal went away to Newcastle and picked up a hard-fought 2-0 win.
Martin Odegaard continued to make his case for Footballer of the Year with another blinding performance and a top finish.
Liverpool made it six wins on the spin as they found a way past Brentford. Mohamed Salah made it 100 goals at Anfield and that result became all the more important given Man United’s defeat to West Ham on Sunday evening.
Liverpool are now just 2 points behind the Red Devils, although Erik ten Hag’s men have a game in hand.
At the bottom, Monday night saw an avalanche of goals and shocking results that have now changed the landscape completely.
Everton went to the dreaded Amex and came away with a result nobody on Earth could have predicted. A 5-1 win that sends them out of the bottom three. They’re not safe yet but they can dream.
Nottingham Forest all but sent Southampton to the Championship with a 4-2 win and Leicester lost 5-3 to a rampant Fulham to leave them in all kinds of trouble.
