- Luis Campos wants to bring Bernardo Silva back to France As Lionel Messi’s Replacement
The future of Manchester City star Bernardo has been up for debate since rumours of a move to Barcelona started circulating last summer.
PSG have now emerged as a possible destination for the former Monaco star. Luis Campos, who signed Silva for the principality club, wants a deal that will see Silva return to France.
Bernardo Silva has been at City since 2017, and has enjoyed a successful spell so far in Manchester. However, there are rumours that the Portuguese midfielder wants a new challenge, and was keen on a move away from City last summer.
Barcelona wanted him last summer, but couldn’t send in an offer because of their financial situation. Bernardo also reportedly reached an agreement with Campos and PSG last summer, but the club could not act on it. A move for the Portuguese is more feasible for this club this year, as the Parisians are on a mission to reduce their wage bill this year.
PSG will try to seal a deal for him this summer as they prepare to restructure their expensive, star-studded and underperforming squad.
Neymar and Messi have been linked with a move away, players like Renato Sanchez, Carlos Soler, Presnel Kimpembe all linked with a move away from PSG.
Would be a perfect replacement
