Chelsea 0-2 Real Madrid UCL
Chelsea’s season is practically over after another loss at Stamford Bridge last night. The Blues needed to score at least two goals to drag the game to extra-time, but they could not find the net against Los Blancos. Real Madrid took the lead after a quick counter-attack and a fast break by Rodrygo.
The Brazilian was also on hand to finish off the tie completely after an amazing run by Valverde. Last night will be Chelsea’s last game in the Champions League for a while.
Milan survive late scare from Napoli.
Victor Osimhen grabbed a late equalizer for Napoli, but it was a little too late for the Naples club. Many tipped Napoli to beat Milan despite their first leg loss because of the return of starman Victor Osimhen. However, Milan handled the Nigerian striker for the majority of the game.
Olivier Giroud had a penalty saved by Meret. Rafael Leão’s burst of pace and quality decision-making created the opening goal for Giroud and Milan. Napoli also missed a penalty of their own when Kvicha Kvaraskhelia was denied by Mike Maignan. Osimhen headed in a leveller late in the game, but the first leg defeat proved too costly.
