Sadio Mane has officially joined Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr, putting an end to a short and disappointing stint at Bayern Munich.
Mane’s signing was announced by Al Nassr’s official Twitter page. The 31-year-old is now set to link up with legendary forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
Bayern Munich will receive a €28 million fee for Mane, a loss of around €4 million from what they spent to take him from Liverpool just last season.
Al Nassr have been aggressive this summer, adding top-end talent to the squad. The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United in December sparked an influx of stars into the Middle East.
The Pro League outfit have already signed Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan and Seko Fofana from Lens. They are also close to completing a deal for United full-back Alex Telles.
Sadio Mane had an indifferent season for Bayern, scoring only seven goals in 25 Bundesliga appearances.
The 31-year-old also missed the World Cup in Qatar through injury.
It is believed that Mane will earn as much as €40 million per season at Al-Nassr in a deal that should see him at the club until 2027, bringing his total earnings over that time period to €160 million.
