- Check Out Tossyardkings Premier League Team Of The Season
Sunday marked the end of a thrilling Premier League season filled with surprises. Liverpool, expected to be in transition, emerged as champions under Arne Slot, with Salah leading the charge. Arsenal faded from the title race again and failed in Europe, while Manchester City missed out on a fifth straight title but still secured Champions League football.

Chelsea’s young squad barely made it into the Champions League, a small win in a tough season. Newcastle ended their 56-year trophy drought and sealed UCL qualification—a huge moment for the Magpies. A strong mid-table group made the league even more competitive.
Manchester United endured their worst-ever campaign finishing 15th on the table, and also missing out on a UCL spot after losing the Europa League final to Tottenham, who also struggled in the league and finished 17th
Let’s highlight the standout performers of the 2024/25 season — Our Premier League team of the season.
GK – Matt Sels

A commanding figure in Nottingham Forest’s defence this season, Matt Sels worked alongside Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic as Forest finished 7th—just 2 points outside the UCL places—and kept 13 clean sheets.
CB – Virgil Van Dijk

Virgil Van Dijk delivered another inspiring season. The Dutch defender led a Liverpool side that conquered the Premier League and reached the League Cup final.
CB – Nikola Milenkovic
Nikola Milenkovic proved to be the undisputed signing of the 2024/25 season. The big Serbian wall impressed from start to finish in his first campaign in English football.

He helped Nottingham Forest double their points tally from last season and nearly secured UEFA Champions League qualification.
RB – Ola Aina
Ola Aina played a key role in a solid Nottingham Forest defence that transformed a relegation-threatened side from 2023/24 into a top-seven team.

His connection with big striker Chris Wood proved crucial for Nuno Espírito Santo’s team.
LB – Milos Kerkez
Milos Kerkez enjoyed a standout year—one that might earn him a move to the reigning champions.

Kerkez served as an important cog in Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth side that surprised many this season. He finished the campaign with 2 goals and 6 assists for the Cherries.
MID – Ryan Gravenberch
Ryan Gravenberch quietly ran the engine room of Liverpool’s title-winning side.

He rediscovered his best form this season after Arne Slot improvised following the club’s failure to land Martín Zubimendi last summer. Gravenberch won the Best Young Player award for the season—and deservedly so.
MID – Alexis Mac Allister
Alexis Mac Allister performed brilliantly in Liverpool’s midfield all season.

He understood his role perfectly under Arne Slot, linked play beautifully, and defended strongly when required. His goals also contributed to a fantastic domestic campaign for the Argentine.
MID – Bruno Fernandes
Bruno Fernandes stood out as a player who didn’t belong at a club that finished 15th in the Premier League.

He once again served as the only shining light in a horrible, disastrous season for Manchester United. The Portuguese star kept United away from a relegation battle by notching 8 goals and 11 assists in the League.
LW – Bryan Mbeumo
Bryan Mbeumo looks set to leave Brentford this summer—and rightfully so.

After Ivan Toney’s departure, Mbeumo and Wissa stepped up spectacularly. Mbeumo scored a career-high 20 goals and provided 8 assists this season.
RW – Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah emerged as the best player of the 2024/25 Premier League season. The Egyptian inspired Liverpool to another league title—and did it in style.

He matched the highest goal contribution in a single Premier League season (47), easily claimed the Golden Boot (his fourth), and won the Playmaker award. Salah delivered another truly spectacular season.
ST – Alexander Isak

Many consider Alexander Isak the best striker in the Premier League this season—and with good reason. He led Newcastle to a League Cup triumph and a top-five finish by scoring 23 goals and adding 6 assists.

This is our Team of the Season. Do you agree with it? Which player should have made the list?
