Chelsea have had a second offer for Brighton’s talented midfielder Moises Caicedo rejected.
The Chelsea bid which did not include add-ons was made in writing on Monday and dismissed immediately. However, Chelsea are expected to continue their pursuit.
The Blues previously saw a £60m proposal for the midfielder rejected in early June.
Brighton are reportedly believed to be prepared for the possibility of losing Caicedo, but that their asking price must be met.
According to reports, Brighton are determined to sell Caicedo for around £100m, especially given he signed a new contract in March. Brighton previously rebuffed approaches from Chelsea and Arsenal in January
Chelsea are now Caicedo’s main suitor and the 21-year-old remains eager to move to the west London side.
The Blues are expected to return with a third bid imminently.
Meanwhile, Caicedo will fly to the United States to join up with his Brighton teammates on the pre-season tour.
