The Red Devils may be losing several defenders in the summer, and an upgrade in that position seems likely.

As Raphael Varane’s contract expiration approaches and his fitness remains a concern during his tenure at Old Trafford, Manchester United faces uncertainty regarding the futures of key defenders such as Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, and Jonny Evans, who has hinted at potential retirement. Given these circumstances, the Red Devils are anticipated to pursue a younger center-back during the summer transfer window.

Links to Todibo intensified after it emerged that Ratcliffe was the priority bidder to acquire a 25% stake in United. The billionaire owns Nice, where Todibo plays, which could help facilitate an easy transaction for the 24-year-old.

He seems the most sensible deal for INEOS to pursue. They know the player well and he is a balanced, ball-playing, modern centre back.

Mikayil Faye

The young talent, discovered by Barcelona from the Croatian lower leagues last summer, has quickly risen to prominence.

Although he hasn’t played for Barcelona’s first team yet, Faye has already impressed on the international stage, scoring a memorable goal for Senegal’s senior team.

His rapid progress has caught the eye of clubs across Europe, including Manchester United, who are reportedly willing to make a move.

Jarrad Branthwaite

Branthwaite has showcased his unquestionable talent at Everton this season after returning from a successful loan spell in Holland with PSV.

Real Madrid are also interested in the 21-year-old but United’s interest appears to be more serious. His ball-playing and strong position awareness will be key for Ten Hag, should he remain in charge next season.
