Another goal from Jude Bellingham gives Real Madrid all 3 points in their third straight away match this season at Celta Vigo. Los Blancos needed a late winner after Rodrygo missed a penalty earlier in the second half. The former Dortmund man was on hand again to rescue his new team, notching his fourth goal in 3 matches.
Carlo Ancelotti continued with his new shape this season, starting Jude Bellingham just behind the two frontman Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo. However, the Brazilians struggled to make real impacts against a solid Celta side. In a game where Los Blancos looked like they were missing a real number 9, Bellingham scored a typical striker’s goal.
Can the Englishman keep bailing Ancelotti’s side out?
“Goals aren’t his biggest quality but, he’s doing well. He is good off the ball, he’s intelligent, and his timing is good. He’s got a lot of ability on the edge of the area”.
Ancelotti on Bellingham’s 4th goal in 3 games
It’s early days for Bellingham in La Liga and teams are still struggling to pick up his runs into the box. Teams are still learning to cope with his presence at the edge and inside the box. Celta fared well today, but Bellingham was just a fraction faster than his marker when he scored the winner.
Bellingham’s influence in attack might reduce with time as more teams will start tracking the 20-year-old’s runs into the box, but Real do not really have a lethal goalscorer to take full advantage of Bellingham’s distracting ventures into the box.
Still, Carlo Ancelotti insists that his side’s attack looks fine without Karim Benzema, and hints at the club being done with transfers this summer.
“The attack is taken care of. We’ve scored six goals without Karim and without Vini. That means we have what we need. I thought about sending Brahim on but I preferred to keep a balance to avoid any surprises at the end”.

Bellingham’s brilliant start to the season has helped Real win their first 3 games, but he will need lethal support to keep being efficient for Madrid.
