Liverpool Football Club have confirmed that star attacker Mohamed Salah will leave the club at the end of this current season. The African forward signed a new 2-year contract with Liverpool after last season’s brilliant title win, but following a turbulent season so far wth Liverpool campaign, the Egyptian will now leave Anfield in June.

Mohamed Salah joined The Reds back in 2017 after a failed spell in the Premier League at Chelsea under Jose Mourinho. The Reds signed him from AS Roma, after he impressed at Fiorentina in the Serie A on loan from Chelsea. Liverpool payed £34 million for the winger, and it turned out to be one of the best deals ever in the history of the Premier League.
Mohamed Salah hit the ground running immediately, joining up with Sadio Mane and Bobby Firminho to form a brilliant attacking trio that would eventually fire Liverpool to their first English Premier League title in over 3 decades.

Salah has since then scored Over 250 goals for Liverpool, and recoreded 122 assists for them with 190 goals and 94 assists coming in the Premier League. The Egyptian has won so many awards and broken so many records at the club and is leaving as a certified Liverpool legend. After the news of his eventual depature broke, Salah took to social media to address Liverpool fans:

Liverpool will allow Salah leave on a free despite having a contract till the end of June 2027. The Egyptian wants to try a new challenge after the World Cup. Before leaving, he will be hoping to help Liverpool secure Champions League football for next season, and hoepfully win the competition for Liverpool fans this season as a parting gift.
