Barcelona have finalized the signing of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle on a 5-year deal for a reported fee of £70 million.

The La Liga champions moved fast and went ahead of the queue to finalize the signing of the young, talented winger as clubs like Liverpool and Bayern Munich were also circling.
A statement on the Barcelona website reads:
“FC Barcelona and Newcastle United have reached an agreement for Anthony Gordon to become a blaugrana for the next five seasons. Over the last few seasons, Anthony Gordon has established himself as one of the best, most talented, and hardest-working wingers in European football.”
Gordon represents the first big investment in the Barcelona squad in years and the first under manager Hansi Flick. Barcelona are looking to bring in players who will complement the squad they have as they hope to recapture the Champions League for the first time since 2015.

Barcelona officially unveiled Anthony Gordon today, and he conducted his first interview as a Barcelona player in Spanish. The former Everton man revealed that he had been learning Spanish because he knew he would eventually play for Barcelona in the future, fueling rumours that Newcastle and Barcelona had already agreed a deal for the 25-year-old forward during the season.
Gordon will fly out to the England camp as he prepares for the World Cup and will join up with his Barcelona teammates for the new season in July or early August.
