Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola has prioritised Liverpool as the Frenchman looks to get more playing time after he refused to sign a new deal with the European Champions.
PSG have quoted a fee higher than what Manchester City paid for Elliot Anderson this summer, as they believe Barcola, who has played an integral role in a team that won the Champions League back-to-back and also performed for France at the World Cup, is a better player and asset to any team than the Englishman.
The French club want a fee in the region of £140 million to sell the 23-year-old winger they signed from Lyon for £38 million three years ago, and according to reports, Liverpool are currently negotiating, and hope to agree a fee for the 23-year-old who is eager to join the Reds.
For Barcola, Liverpool is the perfect environment for him to thrive, as the Reds are now looking to shift back to the fast, ultra-attacking style that brought so much success under Jurgen Klopp following the sacking of Arne Slot and the hiring of Andoni Iraola.
For this style to succeed, Liverpool need fast and tricky wingers, and Bradley Barcola ticks that box. The PSG attacker is dynamic, quick, and tricky, especially in transition.
Although his finishing remains one of his weakest traits in the opposition box, he has the trickiness to create lots of chances for the rest of Liverpool’s attack, which will consist of players like Ekitike, Isak, and Wirtz.
