Nikola Jokic scored 25 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for Denver. Will Barton added 24 points for the Nuggets, who didn’t play anywhere near their best.
Jordan Poole’s Big Night.
Jordan Poole was finished with an impressive 9 of 13 shooting, including 5 of 7 from 3-point range. His performance tied Hall of Famer Mitch Richmond for the second-highest scoring playoff debut in Warriors’ history.
Jazz 99, Mavericks 93
Donovan Mitchell scored a game-high 32 points after a rough start to lead the Jazz to victory. Bojan Bogdanovic had 26 to help take advantage of Luka Doncic’s absence due to a calf injury. Dallas will be desperately hoping Luka can play some part in game 2 to give themselves any chance.
