Barcelona have successfully wrestled back the La Liga crown from Real Madrid. The Catalans defeated Espanyol 0-2 at the RCDE Stadium to seal their 28th League title on Thursday night.
Lamine Yamal curled home a beautiful opener in the 53rd minute before assisting Fermin Lopez score Barcelona’s second goal to seal their 27th win of the season.
Barcelona clinched their third trophy of the season with their win over Espanyol after previously beating Real Madrid to the Spanish Super Cup last year and the Copa del Rey back in April.
Clinching the La Liga title and the Copa del Rey is an impressive feat for any manager, but especially for Hansi Flick in his first season at Barcelona.
