Barcelona failed to pull away from Sevilla s they lose at home against 11th placed Rayo Vallecano.

Match Summary

Rayo hold on to make it two wins against Barcelona this season. The visitors started brightly and took the lead when Alvaro Garcia finished off Palazon’s superb through ball.

Barcelona struggled for rhythm throughout the first half, but did have chances to equalise through Dembele and Gavi. The hosts continued to struggle in the second period as Rayo wasted time whenever possible. Depay and Dembele were both denied by heroic late blocks and despite the referee adding on almost 15 minutes of stoppage time, Rayo held on for a famous 1-0 win.
