Chelsea Extend The Contract Of Barcelona Target

Chelsea have triggered the one year extension clause in Cesar Azpilicueta`s Contract.

Barcelona now have to pay a transfer fee if they want to sign Cesar Azpilicueta from Chelsea this summer. The Blues have triggered a clause which allows them automatically extend Cesar`s stay at the club by one year. Azpilicueta has been with Chelsea since the 2012/13 season.

Barcelona were intending to get Azpilicueta for free this summer, but that is no longer possible

Cesar Azpilicueta's #Chelsea contract 'was unilaterally extended by another year' prior to sanctions being imposed on the club – but the captain may not stay beyond the summer.
