Chelsea believe in his quality, and they will include a favourable buy-option into his loan deal ahead of next summer.

Facundo Buonanotte signed for Brighton from Rosario Central back in January 2022 for 6 million Euro. He joined up with the Seagulls immediately and made just 13 appearances that season, scoring and assisting once.

Buonanotte played 36 times in his first full season in England. He scored 4 times and assisted one goal in all competitions, including a curler against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

After losing his spot to Yankuba Minteh, Brighton loaned him out to Leicester City last season, where he managed 6 goals and 3 assists for a side that struggled throughout the season.

Chelsea believe Buonanotte will be a fantastic addition to their team, especially with the recent injury to Cole Palmer, and the amount of fixtures they could play this season.
