- Chelsea beat Real Betis to win UEFA Europa Conference League final in Wrocław, Poland.
Chelsea defeated Real Betis Balompié 4-1 in the final of the Conference League to seal what has been a good season for their young squad. Star man Cole Palmer stepped up to inspire his side in the second half as The Blues came from behind to win.

Chelsea End The Season On A High
Many expected Chelsea to win the Conference League right from when they dropped into the competition last year following Manchester United’s FA Cup triumph. However, opinions started to change when Real Betis scored the opening goal of the game in the 9th minute.
Malo Gusto gave the ball away, and Real Betis pounced. Isco took control of the ball and found Ez Abde on the edge of the box with a no-look pass. The former Barcelona man slotted the ball past Jorgensen for 1-0.

The Blues struggled to make things happen in attack in the first half, but that changed in the second half. Reece James replaced the fumbling Malo Gusto, and that settled the nerves at the back. Cole Palmer had a quiet first half, but he took matters into his own hands in the 64th minute.
The Englishman twisted and turned away from his marker before putting in a delicious cross for the marauding Enzo Fernández to score, 1-1.

Four minutes later, Cole Palmer again twisted away from his marker down the right-hand side and put in a cross for Nicolas Jackson to touch home. 2-1.
Jadon Sancho also got in on the action with a beautiful curler from the left-hand side to increase Chelsea’s advantage.

Player of the Season Moises Caicedo added gloss to the scoreline with a well-taken finish from the edge of the box to round up an impressive cup run and a good season for Chelsea, their young players, their young manager, and their new owners.
