Former West Ham player Leroy Rosenior Initially managed Torquay United from 2002 to 2006, he led them to the league one Promotion. He left Torquay in 2006, then the club appointed Keith Curie.

The club was not doing well at the time, later on, Keith curie was sacked and Leroy Rosenior was appointed, But just 10 minutes after his reappointment was announced, the club was taken over by a consortium and he was sacked immediately and replaced by former Torquay United player Paul Buckle.

“It was a shock, but we had a good laugh about it. They thought I’d done a fantastic job after 10 minutes and they let me go. They are going to pay me a bit of compensation,” Leroy Rosenior told Mirror at the time
