- Frank Lampard, Appointed as Interim Boss
Frank Lampard has rejoined Chelsea and will act as the team’s head coach till the end of the season. The Former Everton boss is back at Cobham and will help the Blues see out a torrid season.
Lampard enters his second spell as Chelsea’s manager, having coached the club from 2019 till 2021 before he was replaced by Thomas Tuchel. Lampard took charge of his first training session today. He also promised Chelsea fans to give his absolute best until the end of the season.
“I will do my best, then we will see what happens. So it won’t be my decision [long-term]. I understand I will be asked a lot, I’ve got my eyes open. I’m excited as there’s a lot of talent here”. “It was easy to accept this job for me; this is my club”.
Lampard was appointed temporarily to help Chelsea see out the season, and also to give the owners more time to pick a permanent manager for their project at the club.
