Since arriving in 2016, Guardiola has transformed the club into a dominant force, securing 8 Premier League titles, 2 Champions League trophies, 2 FA Cups, 4 League Cups, and multiple other honours.

His departure marks the end of an era at the Etihad Stadium. Guardiola has been contemplating his future for some time and feels now is the right moment to seek a new challenge after achieving everything possible with City.

Maresca is expected to be announced as the new boss at the Etihad as soon as Guardiola’s exit is officially confirmed.
