- Sancho Excluded From First Team Training
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will make Jadon Sancho train alone after the winger’s reaction to public criticism by the Dutch manager.
Erik ten Hag publicly criticized Jadon Sancho after Manchester United’s defeat away at the Emirates two weeks ago, as the former Dortmund man did not make the match-day squad. “On his performance on training, we didn’t select him”
Jadon Sancho replied to Erik ten Hag’s comment on social media with the following statement. “The winger, 23, wrote: “Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that [are] completely untrue.
Sancho also said he has been training well, a sharp contrast of what his manager had said.
“I have also conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I have been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair!”
The latest reports suggest the English winger could leave the club as early as January, and is already now training away from first team training. Further reports also suggested that Sancho continued to handle the situation poorly even after speaking with Erik ten Hag, and deleting the social media post.
A loan move away from the club might be an option for Sancho, Borussia Dortmund are reportedly still interested in bringing him back to the club on a temporary basis. Manchester United will also look to add to their options on the wings as they prepare for a potential Sancho sale in the summer, if the issue between the manager and Sancho persists.
