Manchester United are considering taking USMNT captain Christian Pulisic on loan from their Premier League rivals Chelsea.
Newcastle United, Juventus and Atletico Madrid have all made approaches for the winger. He cost Chelsea £58million when he signed from Borussia Dortmund in 2019. Pulisic, 23, has been frustrated with his lack of starts under Thomas Tuchel and wants to play more minutes ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar this winter.
Pulisic Looking To Secure Move Away
The winger, who is the most expensive North American footballer of all time, is a vital player for the USMNT. He will lead his country in Qatar, but has struggled for regular first-team minutes at Stamford Bridge. He came off the bench in Chelsea’s opening two Premier League games. Chelsea knows the player is frustrated and are willing to listen to loan offers. As things stand, it is believed that the player would prefer Manchester United.
Tuchel has already allowed fellow forwards Timo Werner to go to Red Bull Leipzig, while Romelu Lukaku has been loaned to Internazionale. Chelsea have bid for Everton’s Anthony Gordon, while there is also interest in Callum Hudson-Odoi.

As for Manchester United, they have been linked with a host of names this summer. Their long-running pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong looks unlikely at this stage. They are also short of bodies in the attacking third and the future of Cristiano Ronaldo remains uncertain. If a move for Christian Pulisic were to materialize, he would add depth to Ten Hag’s attacking ranks.
