Manchester United will get a free run at West Ham’s Declan Rice this summer. Reports have linked the £100M rated midfielder with Chelsea and Manchester United in recent months. The uncertainty about ownership at Chelsea could let Manchester United pip the blues to Rice’s signature.
Declan Rice has impressed so far with his performances in central midfield for the Hammers. David Moyes’ side have had a good season and Rice is central to that success.
Lack of depth in central-midfield affected Manchester United this season. Also, with the likes of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic leaving the club, Erik ten Hag will need to sign midfielders fit to play his system.
West Ham currently value Declan Rice at around £100M, but that price could reduce significantly if United make early contact in the summer.
It will be a summer of rebuilding at the club, with uncertainty over the future of some of Manchester United’s stars. Paul Pogba will leave the club for free this summer. Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata are also leaving. Jesse Lingard is another player who could leave the club. Also Cristiano Ronaldo’s future could take a new turn in a summer that could reshape Manchester United’s recent history.
Another overrated and overpriced Englishman.. Manchester United never ever learns..let’s just hope this will be different
