Cristiano Ronaldo has been the only shining light for Manchester United in a tough season. The Portuguese has scored 24 goals in all competitions for the Mancunians, but could his latest strike against Brentford be his last for United at Old Trafford?

Should Cristiano leave? Reasons he could…

No Champions League

Since his move to Manchester United earlier in his career, Cristiano has not missed a single season in Europe’s elite competition. Currently, it is almost certain that Manchester United won’t be playing in the competition next year. It could be a problem for a player who believes he can still compete at the highest level.

Cristiano Ronaldo continues to show his desire and quality despite his age. It is possible for the former Real Madrid star to move if he receives an excellent offer from a UCL club.

New Era at Old Trafford

Erik Ten Hag will come in to change many things at the club. A new coach, new era, new style that will take time. Will a 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo be interested in rebuilding from scratch? You cannot blame him if he doesn’t buy into it. Cristiano will want to move to a club in need of a goalscorer. A team that can be built around him, just like what he had at Real Madrid. It will be difficult, but with his quality, he will always have excellent options.

So, should Cristiano Leave Manchester United now?

In my opinion, No. he signed a two-year deal with the club, he should stick around to see what could happen under Erik Ten Hag. Also, if there is any player that can make a difference for the Dutch manager in his early days at Manchester United, it will be Cristiano Ronaldo.
